CALL FOR NOMINATION OF APFCB WEB EDITOR

One of the matters of utmost urgency and needs of the APFCB that was identified at the strategic planning meeting held in Perth in January 2010 was the need to have an efficient web-editor.

The APFCB EB has decided to appoint a Web editor to manage the APFCB web site.

The Desired Qualifications for this position are:

  1. must be able organize content
  2. conversant in English
  3. monitor the website and provide regular updates

Members are asked to please nominate any suitable candidate for this position. The web editor’s position is Key to keeping the web site updated constantly. Like all positions on the APFCB this will also be a  voluntary position.

CALL FOR NOMINATION OF HON EXECUTIVE OFFICER

The activities of the APFCB have grown in recent years. There is a need now to expand the pool of elected/appointed volunteers who can assist in carrying out these activities. The APFCB wishes to invite expressions of interest from persons who may be interested in participating in the execution of our activities. Towards this end we intend to appoint one Hon. Executive Officer to undertake some of the administrative activities of the APFCB. The appointee should be someone who is eager to volunteer his/her time and be reasonably familiar with the English language and have their own computer. The appointee should be prepared to offer an equivalent of about 5 to 7 hours a week towards APFCB work. The Hon. Executive Officer will initially be guided but will subsequently be expected to work independently.  This is a Honorary position, the duties will involve some international travel to attend meetings organized in conjunction with Congresses etc and that it is intended that the Hon Executive Officer  would receive a Scholarship and offer of support to attend these meetings. Council members are asked to identify a suitable person and forward their names to the APFCB Secretary for consideration.
