The program will consist of:
- An IHE profile / implementation guide and testable conformance statements
- A suite of tools for testing messages and generating example messages
- Live testing of inbound and outbound messages between laboratories, messaging services and clinical information systems.
- An implementation approach for planning and demonstrating progress towards meeting NPAAC requirements
- Education sessions covering HL7v2 messaging and SPIA orders and results terminologies (supported by CSIRO’s National Clinical Terminology Service)
Participating laboratories will be able to provide evidence of conformance with NPAAC requirements, as needed for laboratory accreditation.
