New Zealand is a sovereign country outside of Australia. However the NZ Branch is an integral part of the Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemists which comprises other Branches representing the various Australian states. The NZ Branch participates at all levels within AACB. AACB is the predominant organisation in NZ dedicated solely to the practise of clinical biochemistry within the health sector.
NZ Branch members are Chemical Pathologists, Hospital Scientists, Medical Laboratory Scientists and Technicians. All these occupational groups are able to participate within AACB at local, national and international level to enhance their own career prospects and to expand their experiences beyond the benchscape to all aspects of their profession. AACB also supplies a conduit for advanced training and professional recognition by examination.
