The Australasian Association for Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine (AACB) is the foremost professional body committed to advancing the fields of Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine across Australasia.

AACB offers a wide range of valuable resources, educational programs, and professional development opportunities designed to support laboratory professionals, interested individuals, and key stakeholders throughout the region.

Our membership proudly includes pathologists, medical scientists, and laboratory technicians working in pathology laboratories, as well as healthcare and pathology service providers and IVD companies, across Australasia, all united by a shared commitment to excellence in laboratory medicine.

Our objectives are to:

  • Lead the way as the premier organisation for clinical laboratory medicine in Australasia through advocacy, education, training, and continuous professional development.

  • Foster and strengthen effective communication within the pathology community, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • Promote improved health outcomes by taking a leadership role in setting and upholding best practice standards across the profession.
